So it is finally spring here – Yay. That means new hair for me! I am going blonde! And it means more rambunctiousness and sometimes unruly behavior by a little white, maybe blonde dog! Had to share with you guys some pictures! Also we have this amazing tree in our backyard, it sprouts little pink flowers in the spring time…perhaps someone here knows what it is called. I tried to take a picture with Kirby and it, but the size difference of the tree and him were a little hard to work with XD
So I do not know what to do with this picture. It’s cute , I’ve had it since a baby but right now I simply do not have any room for it, but me and my boredom found one use for it…..
And just some more for good measure…..he wants as many pictures shown of him as humanly doggily possible, trust me, he may be a boy but inside he has a little diva in him.
And finally I would like to thank some blogging buddies for these pretty awards.
First up is Hutch a good life who gave me this beautiful “shine on award”
and to a wonderful blog full of Chesapeake loveliness and adventure! Sand Spring Chesapeakes
And one more (how popular are we feeling these last couple weeks!!! XD) From a great blog of a girl who loves her dog as much as me!!!! Me, You and Zu
Thankyou guys so much, I will display these on my blog proudly
Lastly, I also wanted to give a shout out to Ann from Pawsitively Pets
who has graciously and without motive, has given up her time from being a busy mom, pet mom, and blogger to help me with some blog-related questions I had and go above and beyond. Sometimes (even on the internet) it can be hard to find people who genuinely wish to help you just out of the kindness of their heart. And I want to let her know again, how much I truly appreciate it and will remember it Aside from that I always enjoy her blog, as being a vet tech she has some very valuable information on her blog I have really enjoyed learning more through it.
I would also like to show Kirby’s pack page! We have had it for a while now but just remembered to share it on here!I have one invite right now for anyone who needs one to add their doggy, just email me. I only have one so I will have to be fair and give it to the first person who messages me! If you could spare a minute to heart us, that would be very fabulous!!!!! XD http://packlove.com/kirby
Also for anyone who missed out and wants to see our video of this week here it is:
Kirby wakes me up earlier then I would like it to be telling me with his soft and subtle whimpers “umm, its time to say ‘you wanna go outside?’ now!”. I get up half groggy still to let this this jumping, excited spinning, little ball of energy to go do his thing outside. It made me realize how much I wish I could just wake up without a shower, coffee, or a slap in the face and be ready to go, alert, and excited to start the day! Although i’m usually lucky if I can put one foot in front of the other the first 5 minutes I’m up! How do they do it?!
Anyways this week was rather mischievous. I did a video below, to show us on one of our walks. Something interesting…at least to Kirby always comes up, and this time was no different. I mean, only he could find an issue with a decapitated tree stump,, but he did….watch the vid to see what I mean.
–First off sorry I haven’t been here in a week! I have been uncommonly busy, and working on this. My life-with pets
I hope everyone is having a good day, if not, hopefully these pictures will cheer you up I know when I am feeling down simply watching Kirby try to wrestle with a toy twice the size of him, or exploring what looks like a whole new world even though he smelt that exact spot the day before, just can help put things in perspective as many things can I suppose. Dogs if given the bare necessities love, food, understanding can be completely happy and enjoy life in their own little world. Sure we may have more problems and be a bit more “complicated” but I think taking a cue from a creature simply happy to be here can speak volumes
Kirby has a best little buddy who he has made quite good friends with inside the dog park and out. Their personalities seem to collide almost in harmony as they both seem to always have a fun time around each other. I also got a shot of Kirby chasing a Frisbee, far too big for him, but making the best of it all the same! (sorry the pictures are grainy – cell phone).
Well it is Saturday. I have given Kirby a bath the day before, and as that is always somehow a very traumatizing experience for him, I decided to give him a break with pictures…well except for this one that I think depicts his fear perfectly prior to bath time.
So to give him a bit of a break, and being inspired by his recent picture I decided to show you guys some of my favorite animal meme’s of all time ……
For the dog rules, which number did you start off with and which number are you at now!
We missed mischief monday again! How could we, and this time there was lots of mischief to write about. So I guess better late then never. I got the privilege of puppy-sitting one of Kirby’s best buddies Rocco. I know you guys got to see him in a post about a month ago, but man has he grown! He is developing quite the personality as well, which works perfectly for Kirby’s rambunctious self. I took lots of pictures to share with you guys, and uploaded a video about it for those who want to see him in action.
Rocco although cute and playful like Kirby, is quite different than any dog I have ever owned – and no its not just the random snorting he gives every couple seconds, but it has helped put him up there! (Caught a bit on video- see below)
Kirby for example likes to show off his skills by ducking and running under Rocco to show off just how much faster he is, than poor Rocco could ever be, and Rocco simply uses his weight (as its all he has in his defense) to try and pin Kirby for a good play-fight. Rocco is very much a puppy and though he’s learning doesn’t have all the social manners Kirby is used to, that added to him weighing a good solid 15+ pounds already, I had to be sure to supervise that Rocco’s play tactics didn’t accidentally squish the poor little Kirbster XD.
Because he has never met Poe before (our family dog) who has a bit of anti-social behavior due to his past, I had to be on top of my game when introducing the little squirt to him and “his territory”. So I used some of the tips I have mentioned before in my videos. Poe as I suspected wasn’t in for being buddies (unlike Kirby) as when Rocco tried to play with him, Poe would give a little don’t-bug-me growl and walk away. Other then that though they co-existed fine, and Poe was quite content looking a the two bozos - immature pups (trust me he was thinking it) play and scurry around, not very interesting for a 8 year old boy who would rather lounge with us humans, then have to intermingle with these two rambunctious pups, as they ran and played…and ran and played circles around him.
I did get one shot though of the three of them snuggling together, or should I say Poe lying down and these two snuggling up to him,and him being to lazy to move. Never-the-less it was quite adorable!
Here’s the video, pictures are below it.
I also wanted to thank Trompie (one of our very first blogging buddies) on this fabulous award and want to pass it along.
